New National Rover Council Executives Announced
Scouts Australia would like to congratulate the new National Rover Council Executive Team.
This includes:
Chairman: Shaun Sandilands (nrcchair@scouts.com.au)
Vice Chairman: Nicky Strachan (nrcvicechair@scouts.com.au)
Training and Development Officer: Pete Favelle (nrctraining@scouts.com.au)
The National Rover Council (NRC) Executive consists of a Chair, Vice Chair and a Training and Development Officer. The elections for these positions are held at the annual NRC Conference in January. The new leaders were appointed following the first recommendation of the recent Rover Review.
The National Rover Council Chair is a member of the National Team and attends National Team, National Operations and National Executive meetings. Through attending these meetings Rovers are represented at a National level and their voice is encouraged and heard.
Scouts Australia is confident that these new Executives will assist the National Rover Council to develop and achieve both its short and long term goals of growing the Rover Scout Section and will oversee the recommendations of the 2011 Rover Review.
