Set in one of the most picturesque countries on the planet\, Australian Scouts will be offered a program of outdoor adventure and cultural immersion that will deliver a once-in-a-lifetime experience. \nDates \nThe Australian Contingent will depart on 28 December 2025 and return to Australia on 9 January 2026. An optional post-tour featuring a selection of thrill-seeking and cultural activities will also be offered to Australian Contingent members\, returning to Australia on 14 January 2026.   \nLocation \nPhase One includes a choice of Expeditions stretching from the upper South Island to the middle of the North Island. From July 1 to July 13 Scouts from across Australia will be exploring this incredible hub of international Scouting. \nFrom the moment you step into Kandersteg\, 1\,200m above sea level\, you know you’re somewhere special. Close to nature and away from the distractions of every day life\, you’ll find nowhere else like Kandersteg. That’s why Baden-Powell chose here. A place where you can pitch your tent under the stars\, climb mountains with your friends\, paddle across lakes and enjoy stunning sunsets at the end of each day. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Countdown until the Australian Contingent takes off for KISC!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Day(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Hour(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Minute(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Second(s) \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n We will be departing Australia on July 1 and returning July 13 after an incredible two weeks at KISC! \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n What can you expect?\n  \n\nMemories and friends for life\nBreathtaking alpine scenery\nService Excellence based on Scout Centre service standards according to our values and principles\nHard working\, helpful and highly motivated international team of volunteer Staff who always do their best\nWide range of self-guided or guided activities and programme advice\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Keep up to date with news from the Australian Contingent!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n View Newsletter 1 HERE!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n View Newsletter 2 HERE!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n View Newsletter 3 HERE!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n View Newsletter 4 HERE!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n View Newsletter 5 HERE!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n View Newsletter 6 HERE!\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Contact the Contingent Mangement Team\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Name\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Email Address\n \n \n \n \n \n \n Message\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n 15 + 4 = \n \n \n Send Message\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n To view our Contingent’s Terms and Conditions please click here.

Hidden within the Finnish forest were admin buildings\, 15 metre tall tree houses and saunas floating on lakes\, all built by hand\, out of timber and rope\, by Finnish scouts in the weeks before the event. We were given the chance to create our own experience during the event\, with minimal pre-arranged activities and lots of freedom to choose what do to do when. From hanging out in the sauna with friends\, working out in the gym made from items found in the forest\, sitting around the campfire on the edge of the lake\, to climbing up stacks of hay bails with ice axes or learning dances from Scouts from all over the world. Kajo is an opportunity for Australian Scouts to have a taste of pure Scouting in a country with a rich and interesting culture.” \nCharlie Ryan-Kane\, Australian Contingent Leader \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n				  \nVisit the Scouts Australia On-Line Events Management System (OLEMS) to apply: \nhttps://registrations.international.scouts.com.au \n  \n \n Download the Event Details\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Countdown until the Australian Contingent departs for Finland\n \n \n Day(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Hour(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Minute(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Second(s)
