Hidden within the Finnish forest were admin buildings\, 15 metre tall tree houses and saunas floating on lakes\, all built by hand\, out of timber and rope\, by Finnish scouts in the weeks before the event. We were given the chance to create our own experience during the event\, with minimal pre-arranged activities and lots of freedom to choose what do to do when. From hanging out in the sauna with friends\, working out in the gym made from items found in the forest\, sitting around the campfire on the edge of the lake\, to climbing up stacks of hay bails with ice axes or learning dances from Scouts from all over the world. Kajo is an opportunity for Australian Scouts to have a taste of pure Scouting in a country with a rich and interesting culture.” \nCharlie Ryan-Kane\, Australian Contingent Leader \n  \n \n \n \n \n \n				  \nVisit the Scouts Australia On-Line Events Management System (OLEMS) to apply: \nhttps://registrations.international.scouts.com.au \n  \n \n Download the Event Details\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Countdown until the Australian Contingent departs for Finland\n \n \n Day(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Hour(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Minute(s) \n \n : \n \n \n Second(s)

Participants aged 18-26 have countless opportunities for: cross-cultural education\, discussion\, physical activity\, spiritual engagement and personal development. Those over 26 can still be involved as volunteers in the International Service Team. \nConsidering more travel around Moot? Why not join the Australian Contingent Tours for an awesome adventure with new Australian Scouting friends before and/or after the Moot.  \n \n \n \n \n \n What does a Moot look like?\n \n \n \n \n \n See for yourself! \nThe last World Scout Moot was held in Iceland in 2017. The Australian contingent consisted of almost 500 Rovers and 20 IST volunteers. Try spotting us in this highlight reel from the closing ceremony – our Contingent shirts are a dead giveaway!
