Scouts Australia welcome Jordan, Nikketah and Jason to the International Team to help develop our capacity in Australia and our region.
The Better World Framework is a set of coordinated programmes, campaigns, calls to action, and events that are endorsed by the World Scout Committee and designed to develop the competencies of young people to become global active citizens by taking action around issues related to sustainable development.
These initiatives include Messengers of Peace, Scouts of the World Award, HeForShe and Scouts Go Solar.
Over the next three years, Nikketah will be working to expand our delivery of these Better World Scouting activities in Australia as well as assisting to coordinate the delivery of SDGs in our Branch Friendship Tours overseas.
Jordan will be working to promote and support Scout Groups in the management of Branch Friendship Tours in the South Pacific. Jordan will also be helping to improve the transparency of donations to South Pacific NSOs and NSAs, identifying service projects, coordinating the delivery of essential training and development requirements in existing NSOs, and helping to deliver APR Conference Resolution 21/18 to support two National Scout Associations of the Council of South Pacific Scout Associations (CSPSA) to become full members of WOSM.
The Scouts International Student Exchange Program (SISEP) is an educational and cultural exchange experience operated by Scouts Australia. It encourages international goodwill and understanding between Australia and other Scouting countries through the facilitation of an exchange experience for Venturer Scouts.
Having travelled to Japan in 1997 as a participant of SISEP himself, Jason has now accepted the responsibility of managing the program nationally and will be working to expand the opportunity for more Venturer Scouts to travel overseas on exchange.
Scouts Australia is now a SEO registered and quality assured in Victoria by the VRQA and registered in Queensland by the Queensland Registration Authority.
