The Lord Baden-Powell Society continues to service our members and donors during this challenging health pandemic.
To our Members and Donors,
We hope you are well.
As the health pandemic of COVID-19 continues to affect lives across the world and here in Australia, we wanted to give you an update on how we’ve adapted to continue our work under these current unprecedented conditions.
As you would be well aware, it is now a few weeks since social distancing and other Government restrictions were introduced nationwide. This has led to all staff from our National Support Team in Chatswood working from home for the time being.
Members can be reassured that all administrative functions for membership of the Lord Baden-Powell Society is continuing as normal. You may however experience some delays in the processing of your donation and the dispatch of a receipt, due to some minor inconveniences of the temporary arrangements, but be reassured that our robust system keeps very accurate records of all information and dates in respect of the donations received.
Should at any time your circumstances change, or if there is any aspect of your membership that you would like to discuss, or you have any concerns at all, please don’t hesitate to contact Rita. We are always happy to talk to our members.
In regard to the wider Scouts organisation, our Leaders are constantly working on programs to ensure that Scouts across all age groups have access to innovative activities which can be enjoyed from home. Our Scouting @ Home programs are ensuring young people remain connected to their communities during this challenging time.
Lord Robert Baden-Powell’s quote, “A Scout is never taken by surprise; He knows exactly what to do when anything unexpected happens”, has never been more salient than in today’s uncertain environment.
To all members and donors, and the entire Scouting community, stay safe and well.
From Member Services of the Lord Baden-Powell Society,
Rita and Pam (Volunteer)
