What happens when a global pandemic limits face-to-face interaction? The Scouting community, globally, turns to Scouting @ Home.
Between the 3-5 April there was a special edition of Jamboree On The Internet (JOTI). This event enabled Scouts from across the world to connect, learn and share. As part of the program, Jay Thompson delivered a workshop called ‘Mental Health Matters’. Mental Health Building Blocks are hosting another call for Scouts and friends to come together to learn about mental health, including tips on coping at this time of great uncertainty.
Mental Health Building Blocks is a UK-based company, however the opportunity to engage is open to anyone in Scouting across the globe.
The session is occurring on Thursday 30th April 1900 BST, which correlates to Friday 1st May 0400 AEST. The invite suggests the call will be 40 minutes long, with time for questions and discussion at the end. Zoom will be used as a platform to host the session and a link to the call will be sent out the morning before the call. In order to receive this link you will need to register your email address for the session.
