Our Program

Each year the National Youth Program Team of Scouts Australia brings together the leading change agents, youth and adults, of each Branch to network, share ideas and generate new ones. This National Conference ensures our Youth Program is continually creating positive change within our movement.

In 2020, the global health emergency offered us, as a movement, great challenges to remain focused on providing fun, challenging, inclusive and adventurous programs while social distancing. Through Scouting@Home we ensured that we continued engaging with our young people and adult members, supporting their personal growth and keeping their passion of learning by doing alive.

Over the last few months all of us have been pushed to do things differently, and the National Youth Program Team have accepted the challenge to continue to run an inspiring, meaningful, inclusive and open Program Conference for our entire membership online.

The call for presenters is now open. Are you who we are looking for?

The National Youth Program Team have workshopped a wide range of session ideas, which will run over the weekend of 17th – 18th October 2020 to coincide with JOTA/JOTI. Sessions will run for up to one hour and rotated throughout the weekend. A “pick your own adventure” program will be developed to offer participants a choice of when, what and how many sessions they would like to attend; they can participate as much, or as little, as they like. Sample program session plans will be developed that cater to particular memberships; youth, Leaders of Youth, and Leaders of Adults.
