Rover Scouts

Over the last weekend in January, the National Rover Council met for the 2021 NRC Conference. Serving as the Annual General Meeting, the NRC elected a new executive to lead and advocate for Rover Scouts across Australia. Eleanor Hewitt from the ACT was elected as the Chair for two years, along with Nicolas Gardiner (ACT) – Vice-Chair, Hugh Crawford (NSW) – Training and Development Officer, and Jake Goodall (QLD) – Secretary for 12 months. The new executive has extensive experience in their portfolios and brings to the Council a passion for good governance and reform, along with a desire to lead and support the Branch Rover Councils and grassroots Rover Scouts across the country as the challenges of 2021 are taken on.

The National Rover Council is still on the lookout for Rover Scouts to take on Diversity and Inclusivity Officer and Environment and Sustainability Officer positions. The positions are extremely rewarding and provide Rover Scouts with an opportunity to grow their skills and knowledge in the area whilst driving meaningful change.
