I would like to give a special thanks and Christmas wishes to all our Members and Supporters who have continued to donate this year despite the many challenges.
Despite having lost two years of major fundraising appeals due to COVID19, the Lord Baden-Powell Society continues to fundraise and receive donations in order to help disadvantaged Youth Members participate in major Scouting activities, such as the Australian Jamboree, Australian Venture and the World Jamboree as they will resume again from 2023.
As we continue to live with COVID19, we, as well as many other not-for-profit organisations, have experienced a decline in donations during the 2022 year period. Whilst we fully understand the difficulties and challenges that many of us are experiencing, we truly hope that things will improve so that we may continue with our dedicated work. Now, more than ever, there are many young Scouts and their families experiencing financial difficulties.
With major events soon to re-start, we are excited of things to come. You will soon hear of personal experiences from the young Scouts that you have supported in the form of their Reports giving us an insight of what they experienced during these activities.
Past years Reports from our youth members, can be accessed at any time under the Lord Baden-Powell Society pages at scouts.com.au under ‘News’.
Your donations are impacting young lives across Australia with positive results and resilience. The Lord Baden Powell Society gratefully recognises the contributions made to Scouting by the Society’s long established and loyal members whom after many years, continue to support us.
Our thanks are again extended to all our Supporters who have again this year generously contributed with their 2022 donations.
On behalf of myself and the Management Committee of the Lord Baden-Powell Society, we would like to wish you a happy and safe Christmas and the very best for a prosperous and healthy new year.
