One of Scouts Australia’s objectives for the coming few years is to strengthen government engagement. We now have a National subcommittee dedicated to this purpose and we are working hard to raise the profile of Scouting amongst Federal MPs and Senators around Australia. 

We encourage all Groups to engage with their local MP on an ongoing basis.  This can be done in a range of ways – from requesting a new flag or photo of King Charles III for your hall, inviting them along to a Peak Award or AGM presentation, or even meeting your unit on a regular night! You could also build this into the program if your unit is interested in learning about Parliament.
