Volunteers are the lifeblood of Scouting. Our program would not be possible without volunteer Adult Leaders passing on their skills and knowledge, and supporting and mentoring our youth members.
Our Scouting community is made up of roughly 50 million young people and volunteers worldwide. With our youth being at the centre of everything we do, our dedicated Leaders undergo continuous training to support our program, and ensure Scouting provides a child-safe environment.
During National Volunteer Week, we take the opportunity to thank everyone who volunteers with Scouts Australia – regardless of how you contribute. You are instrumental in making Scouting the fantastic organisation that it is. You are creating a better world, by giving your time, energy, and efforts to support the personal development of children and young people in Australia. Scouts Australia is so proud and grateful to have such a strong, diverse, and dedicated volunteer base who are united by our shared values. We believe that all children and young people have the potential to lead, innovate, and positively impact their communities.
Thank you for generously offering your time to nurture and inspire our youth, guiding them towards becoming exemplary individuals who give back to society and emerge as future leaders.
Together, we’re committed to fostering a secure, inclusive, and empowering environment, where young people flourish and effect meaningful change in the world.
On behalf of Scouts Australia, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to you – our amazing volunteers in Scouting. Your dedication, passion, and tireless efforts make all the difference. Thank you for making Scouting possible!
Yours in Scouting,
Ezgi Bridger
Acting Chief Commissioner of Scouts Australia
