National Commissioner Adult Training and Development

Scouts Australia is happy to announce that Julia Miller has been appointed to the role of National Commissioner Adult Training & Development.

Julia Miller

Julia began her Scouting journey in 2005 as a Cub Scout in Brisbane and continued through to achieve her Baden Powell Scout Award.

Julia has held a variety of Leader roles in the Movement including Cub Scout Leader, District Cub Scout Leader and is currently Branch Commissioner – Adult Training and Development in Queensland Branch. Julia has also been a part of various major event organising teams and a member of the National Youth Program Team as both Deputy National Commissioner and Acting National Commissioner Youth Program.  

Professionally Julia works in special education and recently has been working in the curriculum implementation and design space. Julia has spent many hours designing and delivering engaging professional development and training to other teachers. 

Julia is looking forward to a new challenge as a member of the Scouts Australia National Team. Julia is passionate about making the Adult Training pathway as simple and accessible for all members as possible whilst maintaining the organisations sense of purpose and professionalism. 

Julia’s appointment will officially commence for 3 years at the National AGM in November.
