We are delighted to confirm that the Peak Award for the Venturer Scout section will now be known as the King’s Scout Award.
The King’s patronage officially commenced from the first anniversary of Their Majesties’ Coronation. Peak Awards earned since May 2024 will be re-issued as the King’s Scout Award.
The new certificates will be available to Branches from the Scout Shop shortly.
No new badge will be issued as the current badge is based on the crown of King Edward VII, which remains appropriate for the King’s Scout Award.
It is entirely up to each Group or Unit to decide whether or not to update the title from Queen’s Scout to King’s Scout on any Honour Boards. This can be discussed with your Leaders if you’d like to make changes.
Groups wishing to replace existing portraits may do so by downloading a high quality image from here and printing a high quality colour image or (as is usual practice) requesting printed versions of the portraits through their Federal Member of the House of Representatives or Senate in their state or territory.
