APR Outstanding Scout Award
Entries for the 7th Asia-Pacific Regional Award for Outstanding Scouts are open now!
Since its inception in 2001, the Asia-Pacific Regional Outstanding Scout Award is among the highlights of every Regional Scout Conference. The Award recognises Scouts who best epitomise good moral character, demonstrate qualities of leadership in the community and passionate contribution to nation-building through voluntary services and community-development projects.
The competition calls for the nomination and selection of Scouts in member-countries in the Asia-Pacific Region. It is aimed at enhancing the image and visibility of Scouting as an educational movement and to emphasise its impact and effectiveness in the holistic development of young people.
The award is presented to the winner during a special ceremony at the Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference that will be held during the 26th Asia-Pacific Regional Scout Conference, 15-20 October 2018 in the Philippines.
This is a fantastic opportunity for all Australian Scouts to show how well they apply the principles of Scouting, their Scouting knowledge and what Scouting has done for them. Scouts Australia invites all Scouts to apply to become Scouts Australia’s nominee for the Award.
