Would you like to contribute to driving our program and events support nationally?
We’re on the exciting search for a volunteer Assistant National Commissioner Youth Program with a focus on events. This includes national oversight, policy support, and quality assurance for Tier 1 Scouts Australia Youth Events and Tier 2 Nationally Endorsed Events.
We’re looking for someone who is deeply passionate about our program, the activities our young people take part in, and the personal development they achieve as a result.
As a key member of the National Youth Program Team, you’ll be involved in shaping the experience of Scouts Australia’s young people and enhancing the support we provide adult volunteers to enable quality programming.
This opportunity will suit someone enthusiastic about Scout events who understands the high standards and complex challenges of delivering them. You’ll work with event organising committees and Branch teams to maintain best practices, support the Plan>Do>Review> process for national events, and promote events to our membership.
This role is an opportunity to make a positive impact to a wide audience by improving Scouts Australia’s program, processes and policies, allowing more young people to enjoy meaningful and unforgettable experiences through major events. You’ll be joining a dedicated team of volunteers and staff who will support you to grow into your role.
Expressions of interest should include a statement explaining why you are interested in the role, a brief outline of relevant experience in and out of Scouts, and the contact details of two referees. Expressions of interest will close on Sunday, 21 December.
To submit your expression of interest, or if you have any questions, please email Michael Thomas (National Commissioner Youth Program) at michael.thomas@scouts.com.au.
