We’re Buying a Truckload of Hay!
Thanks to your support, we’ve raised enough money to donate a truckload of hay transported to farmers in need!
After an incredible response to our Drought Relief Blanket Badge, we’ve raised enough money to donate a semi trailer load of hay and transport to our farming communities doing it tough.
Thanks to the support of Scouts from around Australia, we’ve sold over 4000 Drought Relief Blanket Badges! With $3 from every badge sold going towards drought relief, we have raised a fantastic $12,000 so far. All proceeds are being donated to Buy A Bale, with our first donation enough to purchase a semi trailer load of hay and transport valued at $9500! With strong badge sales continuing, remaining funds will be combined to purchase additional supplies before the end of the year.
Kathryn, the Rover Scout behind the fundraiser, was ecstatic with the results so far. “This significant milestone in supporting our farmers proves just how much our Scouting community will rally behind those in need” Kathryn said. “It goes to show that as Scouts, we really are helping to support our community.”
