AV2018 Concludes After Two Weeks of Adventure
The 17th Australian Venture (Get Set! AV2018) was a brilliant success! More than 840 Venturer Scouts came, saw and conquered Queensland with a Get Set! attitude!
Over 20 expeditions from sailing in the Whitsundays, four wheel driving on Fraser Island, canyoning in the Gold Coast hinterland, scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef collecting survey data, learning about zoo keeping, to name a few, provided a myriad of experiences for the Venturer Scouts.
The opportunity to make new friends, challenge oneself, work as a Unit and learn more about Scouting was an invaluable part of the Scouts Australia program.
Many 14 – 17 years olds from all over Australia and the UK have had the time of their life, caving, sailing, abseiling, swimming, hiking, singing, climbing, canyoning, rafting and making many friends…
