Making eLearning More Interactive

New content enhancing the online training experience

We’ve partnered with Lotsafreshair for engaging how-to videos on bushwalking and outdoor adventures.

For some of us, Caro Ryan and her information-packed website Lotsafreshair has long been on the radar as a valuable resource to learn pretty much anything hiking and bushwalking. You name it and she’s made a how-to video or written an informative article. Think navigation, how to pack your bag, beginners hiking menus and everything in between. For those of you who haven’t heard of Caro and her website, Scouts Australia has partnered with her to link all her best videos straight into e-learning, saving you from having to search for information. Answering everyone’s cry for more interactive resources, the embedded videos are free from advertising, and are Cyber safe; keeping viewers away from the risks YouTube can sometimes present.

Caro is relatable to both Youth Members and Leaders, having only discovered her love of the outdoors in her mid-20’s, learning everything as she went (occasionally the hard way), prompting her to create lotsafreshair to make it easier for people in the future…and now Scouts are featuring these amazing resources. Caro is passionate about teaching everyone to enjoy the outdoors, volunteering as a casual guide for the Duke of Edinburgh Award scheme as well as being a leader in the Sydney Bush Walkers Club and a Search Manager for Bush Search and Rescue NSW. Gone are the days of boring e-learning, hop online now to get to know Caro and her useful outdoors skills.

Thank you to Rover Scout, Heather Porter for writing this article.
