Resources to Support Scouting

Check out these New Resources

The Adventure Begins launched earlier this year, introducing with it a series of tools and resources to rejuvenate the way we deliver Scouting and the current program. As part of the downloadable resources and guidelines, interactive tools were produced that will be engaging and interesting for all Scouts.

Each individual is likely to take something different from the activities, programs and events they are a part of. In order to help reflect on development, these learning tools (one set for Joey Scouts and Cub Scouts; one set for Scouts, Venturer Scouts and Rover Scouts) provide 42 reflective questions that promote members to think about how they might have developed. Use them at the end of an activity, end of a night, as a spare time tool or something completely different, and collectively acknowledge the learning and development in each of the Social, Physical, Intellectual, Character, Emotional and Spiritual (SPICES) development areas. Reviews and discussions from using the SPICES cards might help guide future sections programs.

Having planned and completed an activity, we should always remember to REVIEW. The Plan>Do>Review> Ball features 31 questions for youth members and adults to use to reflect on the activities, programs and events they have been involved in.

These durable balls have been designed to be used by all Sections anytime and anywhere, you might like to use this at the end of a camp, the end of an activity, or even for Scouts to use whilst they are waiting for the rest of the Section to finish an activity. Wherever your thumb lands, read the question and then answer.
