The Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation has been made easier to complete for youth and adult members of Scouting. This qualification is nationally recognised and is the first step to gaining qualifications in Outdoor Recreation. Find out how your Scouting can lead you to becoming professionally qualified!
Scouts Australia is excited to announce that on the 30 May 2018 we will be releasing three new e-Learning modules predominately aimed at youth members. The release of these new e-Learning modules supports the completion of the required five core and ten elective Units of Competency from the SIS20213 Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation.
AA ENVIRO – Follow Environmental Impact Practices; AA ASSIST – Assisting in Conducting Outdoor Activities; and AA WORK REC – Work Skills for Recreation, will deliver education for youth or adult members to be able to achieve Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation. A combination of e-Learning, face to face experiences and activities along with the completion of a downloadable workbook, form all the requirements to be able to achieve this credential.
These modules do not form part of the Basic Outdoor Skills (BOS) or any other Adult Training requirements, but are also available to Adults. For members that have completed the higher level modules, the system will have logic to award these modules as well.
