Scouting Skills and School Transcripts
The Scouts Australia Institute of Training (No. 5443) provides members with a range of Qualifications to expand their skill set and be recognised with industry accredited qualifications.
Venturer Scouts who are finishing school this year could add additional Qualifications onto their final school transcript. Venturer Scouts may have sufficient experience through their Scouting experiences that they could complete one or more of the following Qualifications;
- BSB20115 Certificate II in Business
- BSB30115 Certificate III in Business
- SIS20213 Certificate II in Outdoor Recreation
- SIS30413 Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation
- CUA20215 Certificate II in Creative Industries
In every State and Territory, students may include Qualifications that they have completed outside of the formal education system on their final school transcript. The dates to include these Qualifications need to be finalised by are different in every State and Territory. To allow time for an assessor to work with the Venturer Scout and achieve a Qualification prior to the required Department of Education time frames, it is suggested that Venturer Scouts should enrol and submit their evidence before the end of August.
