In September, the National President of Scouts Australia and the Governor of Queensland visited Agoonoree for a tour of the activities and adventures that were being experienced.
The Queensland State Governor, and Chief Scout of Queensland, the Honourable Paul de Jersey AC, visited the annual Agoonoree Scout Camp on Wednesday, 26 September 2018 and spent more than two hours at the camp. Joining him on the tour was Major General Professor John Pearn, National President of Scouts Australia; Mr Daryl Scott, Chief Commissioner (Queensland) and Ms Libby Smith, Deputy Camp Chief.
The event was held at BP Park Samford near Brisbane. The VIP visitors got to see the adventures being experienced by some 430 Scouts, Venturers, Rovers, Girl Guides and Adult Leaders who were camping for six days, hosting a number of special needs young people through personal development activities.
