Mr Stephen Connors

Stephen is a Chartered Accountant with 15+ years of experience. His primary expertise is in the field of financial services, and he has worked for top-tier professional services firms in Australia, the Netherlands and Bermuda. Recently, Stephen spent five years as a Director in the financial services assurance and advisory team at Deloitte in Sydney leading audits of general and life insurers, asset managers, brokers, superfunds and more. Over the years he has provided assurance services for many large local and global financial services entities, was the counselling partner for 30+ staff, and undertook CFO support roles for large global insurers and reinsurers.

Stephen left Deloitte in 2017 to broaden his governance experiences and understanding of new technologies. He is also a member and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and from July 2017 is an active member of the state finance committee for Scouts NSW. Stephen is currently working on the Northern Australian Insurance Inquiry for the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission and is a founding partner of a private wealth digital asset fund. Stephen holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Bachelor of Economics from the Australian National University, Canberra.
