Julia Miller is the inaugural Deputy National Commissioner – Youth Program.
Julia began her Scouting journey aged 7 as a Cub Scout at Nundah-Northgate Scout Group. She is now a member of Kedron Rover Crew after enjoying each youth section. Outside of her local group, she was appointed to the Queensland Branch Youth Council as a Rover Scout, and is currently an active Cub Scout Leader at Kedron. In addition to running a Cub Pack, she is acting as the District Cub Scout Leader and is a member of the State and Regional Seonee teams. Julia has been heavily involved in the Queensland implementation of the New Youth Program by attending workshops to brainstorm ideas and provide feedback. She has assisted in running Branch training courses to upskill new adult Leaders through sharing her knowledge at various state events. During her time in the movement, Julia has attended a series of State and National Leadership courses as well as holding key leadership roles on organising committees of State events.
In Julia’s life outside of Scouting she is a teacher at a Special School.
