Adventure and Sport

What happens when a global pandemic limits face-to-face interaction? The Scouting community, globally, turns to Scouting at home.

Here at Scouts Australia, we have compiled a range of programs and resources to support Scouting as we work through the different phases of community and social distancing, and self-isolation.

Keeping our bodies fit and healthy is important. As Scouts, we are all itching to get out and go on an Adventure. Go for a hike with our Patrol and do a canoe trip with our Unit.

To prepare for our next adventure we need to keep our bodies fit and strong.

As part of your Special Interest Area – Adventure and Sport, you could create yourself a fitness plan. Think about the different types of activities you would want to do and need to be prepared to do. Write them into your plan and have a check list to ensure you do something physical every day. Make sure you challenge yourself and improve your fitness, so you are ready for your next big adventure.

Needing some inspiration to get you started?

Scouts WA contributed a fitness series for Joey Scouts to challenge themselves with – maybe you can expand on these!
