Tahlia Batters has been appointed as the Deputy National Commissioner Adult Training and Development from 10 May 2020 for a period of 3 years.
Tahlia is a member of Scouts WA having commenced in the movement as a Venturer Scout and concluded participation in the youth program as a Rover Scout in 2019. Tahlia has held positions on the WA Rover Council since 2015, including the position of Chair, and has been a member of the National Training Team since 2018. In 2019, Tahlia was awarded both the Rover Service Award and the Special Service Award. Tahlia currently holds the role of Regional Chief Commissioner (Country South Region) in Scouts WA.
Tahlia’s appointment follows a comprehensive recruitment process facilitated by Josh Smart, the former Deputy National Commissioner Adult Training and Development, and incorporating other under 30 year old members of the National Team.
