Supporting our Community

The Push Up Challenge

Over the past three weeks, 130 members of the Rover Scout community have been doing push ups each day to support The Push-Up Challenge. The goal has been set high – to complete a total of 3,046 push ups over 21 days in May. This number represents the 3,046 lives lost to suicide in 2018.

It’s not too late to help us #PushForBetter! If you’d like to support the cause, then please consider supporting Rover Scouts Australia or your local Rover Unit participating in the challenge

All donations go directly to headspace, who provide mental health support to young people aged between 12 and 25.

Push Up Challenge Two Women Exercising

Almost 50% of Australians experience mental ill health in their lifetime, and around 75% of mental illnesses occur for the first time before a person turns 25. By supporting The Push-Up Challenge, you’re supporting an organisation that addresses the unique barriers young people face in accessing mental health support. Your contribution will help headspace to continue promoting the importance of help-seeking, breaking down the stigma associated with mental health and making sure every young Australian knows they are not alone.
