Following the growing use of digital methods of communication and technology use to support the delivery of Scouting, it has become necessary to create a Technology Code of Use to provide guidance around use and protection of member information. In principle, Adults and Youth in Scouting will use digital technologies including data, in a positive manner consistent with Scouting’s Promise and Law, Code of Ethics, Code of Conduct, Child Protection Policy, Privacy Policy and legislated requirements including copyright, trade secret, patent or other intellectual property rights.
This Technology Code of Use provides a set of standards to be followed by all in Scouting when leveraging the capability of the digital age.
