WSJ2023 – Extraordinary!
Don’t miss out on the adventure you need. Join the extraordinary Australian Contingent to the World Scout Jamboree in 2023.
The World Scout Jamboree 2023 Australian Contingent is thrilled to have received over 630 registrations as of mid-december! An extraordinarily amazing achievement by the Contingent Management Team, but we are still looking for more people to join us on this extraordinary adventure. This event is shaping up to look like one of the most culturally immersive and adventurous experiences any Scout could participate in. If you haven’t signed up yet, make sure you don’t miss out, apply now and get your deposit in to secure your place.
We’ve recently announced a competition for all groups. For every 5 members registered from your group, each member will get 2 extra badges! This will give you more opportunity to trade at the Jamboree, meet more Scouts from around the world and grow your badge collection. Having more of your Scout Group attend also means sharing this adventure with your mates and helps with fundraising as you can do this as a Unit. Whether this be a sausage sizzle, raffle, cake stall or any of the many fundraising ideas you come up with.
Speaking of fundraising, 1st East Gosford recently ran a very successful Bunnings BBQ! They’re absolutely smashing the fundraising for this phenomenal event. The World Jamboree team are feverishly planning some great activities and we are hearing there may be opportunities for hiking, canoeing, abseiling, cultural immersion and so much more. While these are not 100% guaranteed just yet, we are 100% sure there will be exciting opportunities for everyone who attends WSJ2023.
