Messengers of Peace Heroes Award
We’re looking for Heroes creating positive change and spreading peace in the world.
The search is on for Australia’s Messengers of Peace heroes!
Have you completed an amazing service project in the past two years for your Messengers of Peace badge?
We know there are Scouts completing service hours every week around Australia. Now we have the opportunity to recognise these amazing Scouts and nominate them for the World Messenger of Peace Heroes award.
We are looking to hear all about the project and how it made a contribution. Perhaps it was something to help the community during the pandemic, or it was an environment project, or something to support a charity.
Young people between the ages of 11 and 26 years who are making significant contributions to local communities with their actions are eligible for nomination. These activities must include direct contributions to the achievement of one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) at the local or national level in 2021 and 2022. Nominations can be for either individuals or Patrols.
In your email, please share a summary of the project, who was involved, what the project entailed and the outcomes.
To be eligible you also need to submit your project on scout.org and include a link in your email.
