Dear Donor Members and Supporters
The Lord Baden-Powell Society would like to confirm that since our last Jamboree Appeal letter which was mailed out in November 2022 – we received an amazing response from our regular Donor Members.
We are extremely happy to report that so far, a total of $114,000 has been raised since our last balance which stood at $55,000 (please refer to the Circle Counter on our website).
The goal now is to reach our intended target of $150K before the next Jamboree is due so that we can support our Branches who in turn will identify those Scouts in need of our financial assistance. The more money we raise, the better the chances to support as many young Scouts and Venturers as possible. We do not like to turn people away or say, ‘No, sorry, we are unable to assist on this occasion’.
If donations keep coming in at the current rate, I strongly believe that our goal will be easily reached before the due date of January 2025! We might even increase our goal further, depending on how well our next letter is received, so watch this space as we will keep you posted.
We are however, in desperate need of more financial donors to join the Society.
Please encourage young Leaders within your scouting community to become a financial donor. From as little as $195 per year, their donation will help a young person develop skills that only Scouting can offer.
