AJ2025 Youth Advisory Patrols 

Be the youth voice of the 26th Australian Jamboree

 

Be a youth member voice who can influence decisions made by the Jamboree Executive Committee to create an authentically youth-driven Major Event experience for your peers!

 

As a member of the Youth Advisory Patrols you will be a member of a diverse Unit of 24-36 young people who help influence the planning of AJ2025. You will represent young people across Scouts Australia and participating International Contingents to ensure that this event is a huge success.

 

You will work collaboratively with Deputy Chief Director – Youth Participation and other youth members to influence key elements of AJ2025. Adequate support will be provided to help you grow and develop as an individual whilst in this role.

 

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Actively participate in, brainstorming, discussions and decision making to create an authentic youth-driven major event experience.
  • Be a part of the organising team who plans the first Major Event where both Scout aged and Venturer Scout aged youth members will be classed as participants.
  • Work with other “Jambassadors” in your patrol to provide your input and make recommendations to Jamboree Executive Committee through the Assistant Chief Director – Youth Participation.
  • Answer simple questions about the event when asked by potential attendees.
  • Attend Unit Meetings.

Eligibility and Requirements: 

  • Youth members aged 10 years and above.
  • Experience as a youth member in a section (Joey Scout, Cub Scout, Scout, Venturer Scout or Rover Scout).
  • Be a current and financial member of Scouts Australia (or other National Scouting Organisation).
  • Been a member of Scout Australia (or National Scouting Organisation) for a minimum of 12 months.
