The Purpose of a Jamboree is…
to provide young people with an active program which encourages participation and elements of self-directed learning and includes activities that stimulate their physical, intellectual, emotional, social, character and spiritual development singularly and collectively leading to character development; thus assisting the young person to develop the attributes of good character as determined by the Scout Promise and Law. It should be the culmination of all they have learnt in Scouting.
