We are thrilled to announce exciting enhancements for our Scouts Australia members, aimed at improving their experience with the Scouts Australia Institute of Training (SAIT) (RTO No. 5443). In this article, we’ll share recent updates and provide a glimpse of what’s in store for 2024.
We have unpacked the enrolment and assessment processes to make it easier to understand. If you find yourself unsure about the types of evidence to submit, fear not. We’re still expanding our information pages with additional insights and practical hints. We will also continually update the ‘questions and answers’ section with common queries. Should you have specific questions regarding your assessment requirements, don’t hesitate to consult your assessor for guidance.
We’ve simplified the process for reaching out with your inquiries. Your enquiry will be promptly directed to your Branch/State Commissioner VET via email, including essential details for a faster, more efficient response.
We’ve listened to your feedback, and our SAIT team has been hard at work simplifying the RPL assessment tools. These tools are now becoming accessible through our new documents portal (coming very soon!), making them easier to locate and use. You can look forward to a fresh, user-friendly appearance as we roll out more updated assessment tools on the portal in the coming weeks.
the document portal will be available very soon!
Enrolling in certain qualifications is now a breeze, thanks to our online enrolment feature on the Scouts Australia website. This convenient option significantly reduces the time required to complete your enrolment and get an assessor assigned, expediting the assessment of your evidence. Of course, if you prefer traditional methods, our paper enrolment form remains available at your Branch office.
We are actively working with our system provider to develop and launch an online interactive portal to streamline your experience with SAIT. This portal will allow you to upload evidence, complete common assessments, and communicate with your assessor. Similar to the portals used by TAFEs and universities, this feature will help you manage your assessments and enrolments more effectively. Stay tuned for further updates as we progress with this exciting addition.
We are dedicated to providing clear and age-appropriate information for our students. As part of this commitment, we are currently reviewing and updating all student information available on our website and in downloadable PDF factsheets.
We’re also making small but valuable improvements to the SAIT webpages on the Scouts Australia website. In the near future, you can look forward to links leading to further learning opportunities, career advice from the Australian Government, and general advice to enhance your overall experience.
