Do you have a clear speaking voice and want to develop your skills narrating and delivering voiceovers? The Scouts Australia Youth Narration Team is gathering a small group of keen young people who would like to be coached and gain experience in voice narration, with the opportunity to receive real production credits for their CV. Who knows where this opportunity might take you?
Join the Youth Narration Team
As a youth-led organisation, Scouts Australia endeavours to have as much of our story as possible narrated by the young people who are actively participating in our Program. There is a renewed opportunity for a new set of young people to form a high-performing team and narrate the Australian Scouting experience in our digital resources, promotional videos and on-Demand modules.
How to audition
Register your interest below and we will send you a short script to narrate. You can use whatever equipment you have available to try recording yourself – it can be as simple as using the voice recorder on your phone, or you can download and use some recording software on your computer. If your audition sounds promising, we will be keen to meet with you to learn more about your Scouting story and experience.
Why should you participate
Being a part of the Youth Narration Team will develop your skills in speech and articulation, as well as building your public speaking skills. Being able to read and deliver with great vocal dynamics is a very valuable presentation skill. The only way to improve is practice! We are keen to support you to reach the next level in these skills.
