The Lord Baden-Powell Society

Dear Supporters and Donors

As 2023 draws to a close, thank you very much for your ongoing and generous support of the Scouting movement in Australia. We appreciate that this year has been a particularly challenging time for families.

The Society distributed $89,500 for major scouting activities which took place this year and for this we are very grateful to our Donors who helped us getting there.

Amongst these significant events in 2023, for Scouts the highlight must be the 25th World Jamboree held in South Korea which, as you all know, ended with the thousands of Scouts needing evacuation due to a typhoon and extensive flooding!  The resilience displayed by attendees in a difficult situation was testament to the valuable training in life skills that Scouts receive.

The Lord Baden-Powell Society looks forward to 2024 and beyond, and we feel confident that Scouting in Australia has a positive future.
