The 26th Australian Jamboree will be held at Maryborough, Queensland from January 6-15, 2025.

The Australian Jamboree is an experience like no other. Every four years, more than ten thousand Scouts from across Australia and the world come together for an unforgettable camp full of incredible activities, new challenges, and endless opportunities to make friends for life. The last Australian Jamboree, held in 2019, was described as dusty, hot, and bloody amazing! For many, it was an incredible experience with tons of special memories and lifelong friendships.

Riley from Queensland, a recipient of support from the Lord Baden-Powell Society (LBPS), shared his fantastic Jamboree experience: “There were many factors that made this Jamboree the best Scout camp ever. The best part for me was all the activities that were available such as Woodhouse, Wet ‘n’ Windy, The Cube, Splash, Whizz, and my favourite of all, Bang – it had BMX riding. Don’t forget to mention ice skating, shooting, and even African drumming.”

Riley also expressed his gratitude: “Thank you to all the leaders and adult helpers who dedicated so much time and effort into AJ2019. I would also like to thank the Lord Baden-Powell Society (LBPS) Grant for their generous support and everyone who donated to Sandgate Scouts fundraising, which made it possible for me to attend this awesome Jamboree. This exquisite experience has created fond memories and friendships that will last a lifetime.”

For many years, the Lord Baden-Powell Society has financially supported young members from all over the country, giving them the chance to attend these Jamboree camp experiences. With much gratitude and best wishes, we look forward to the next Jamboree adventure!
