Stewart’s Scouting journey began as a Cub Scout, where he excelled and achieved peak awards in all sections as a youth member. Over the last 31 years, he has held a variety of leadership roles, including Leader Trainer on the NSW Training Team and, more recently, Assistant Principal of SAIT. His longstanding commitment to Scouting and his experience in leadership development make him an exceptional fit for this new role.
In addition to his involvement in Scouting, Stewart has cultivated a strong passion for education and leadership development outside of the movement. His professional background and dedication to continuous improvement in both youth and adult programs position him to lead SAIT in enhancing its offerings.
Stewart is excited to take on this new challenge and is focused on supporting SAIT’s mission to add value to Scouts Australia’s members. He is committed to ensuring that the broad range of skills and experiences gained through Scouting are formally recognised, both in the Youth Program and the Adult Leadership Programs. His aim is to ensure that Scouts Australia members can gain accredited qualifications that are recognized beyond the Scouting community.
Stewart’s appointment began on 1 October 2024 for a three-year term. We look forward to the leadership, insight, and passion he will bring to the role, and we are confident that under his guidance, SAIT will continue to grow and evolve in its service to Scouts Australia.
Welcome to the National Team, Stewart!
