Leadership Through Adventure Fund (LTAF)

Hi Adventurers,

2024 has truly been a year of adventure! We’re excited to recap some incredible milestones from the Dick and Pip Smith Leadership Through Adventure Fund (LTAF), which aims to make your Scouting journeys even more thrilling.

Since its establishment in 2022, LTAF has supported 104 patrol leaders, creating exciting experiences for over 636 youth members across Australia. With 50 adventures completed, young people have gained invaluable skills that they’ll carry forward for life. Over $650,000 has been provided to promote leadership and managed risk-taking within the Scout community.

The next funding round is now open and will close on 15 January 2025. Applying is simple: complete the application form and include a straightforward budget outlining your patrol’s adventure plans, no matter the amount you’re requesting. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Dick and Pip Smith for their generous donation that made LTAF possible. Their support has empowered even more young people to develop leadership skills through responsible, adventurous experiences. We’re thrilled to be part of this journey and can’t wait to see what our patrols will accomplish next!

The LTAF team will be attending the 26th Australian Jamboree in Maryborough, Queensland, in January 2025. We hope to see you at our stand in the National Tent at AJ2025!
