The Australian Contingent is offering an optional Post Tour to Queenstown from 9 January 2026 till 14 January 2026.

Itinerary

Friday 9 January 2026	Depart Venture site (Brookfield Outdoor Education Centre) for Wellington Airport Fly to Queenstown, transfer to accommodation, and settle in If time allows, activities may be offered during the afternoon

Program

A selection of culture and adventure activities will be on offer. Post Tour participants will have the opportunity to create their own adventure by choosing from a range of activity options.

Activities may include:

Skyline Gondola
Milford Sound
Jetboating
Canyoning
River rafting
Tramping
Ziplining
Mountain biking
Farm tours
Arrowtown visit
Horse riding
Kiwi and Birdlife Park
Chill time in Queenstown

Further details regarding activity selections will be communicated later in 2025.

Meals & Accommodation

We will be staying at Pinewood Lodge right in the heart of Queenstown, just near the Skyline Gondola. Meals will be provided at our accommodation.

Cost

The cost of the Post Tour is $1,950. Please be aware that this is on top of the Australian Contingent Fee ($3,860 for Venturer Scouts and $3,150 for adults) and Expedition fee. The Post Tour fee is the same for Venturer Scouts and adults due to the inclusion of activities for all Contingent members on Post Tour.

The fee includes accommodation, meals, ground transport, flight from Wellington to Queenstown, health and wellbeing expenses, and a contribution towards your chosen activities. Selected high adventure activities are not included in the base fee and will incur an additional charge based on participant choices.
