2026 International Contingents

Are you ready for the adventure of a lifetime? 

Scouts Australia is considering the feasibility of forming National Contingents to attend numerous international scouting events in 2026. This form will be used to gauge interest in these event, and guide the decisions of the International Team in forming an official Contingent.

Expressions of Interest will close at 11:59pm AEST, 6 April 2025.

This form is not an application to attend the event. Scouts Australia is considering the feasibility of forming a National Contingent. The responses gathered will inform this decision.

What events you ask?

Scouting America National Jamboree ‘Elevate’

Who: Scout and Venturer participants at the time of the event, IST, Adult Leaders, CMT
What: Scouting America National Jamboree ‘Elevate’
Where: Summit Bechtel Reserve, West Virginia
When: Event dates – 22-31 July, 2026, Time away – To be determined

This Jamboree is more than just a camp—it’s an unforgettable experience filled with adventure, personal growth, and international friendship. From high-adrenaline activities to hands-on challenges, this event will push your limits and inspire you to become the best version of yourself.
As part of the Scouts Australia Contingent, you’ll not only experience the excitement of the Jamboree but also have the opportunity to explore the USA and connect with Scouts from around the world.

Any Australian Contingent would be limited in numbers.

19th Nippon Scout Jamboree

Who: Scouts and Venturer participants at the time of the event, Adult Leaders, CMT
What: 19th Nippon Scout Jamboree 2026
Where: Jinseki-Kogen Town, Hiroshima, Japan
When: Event dates – 4-10 August, 2026, Time away – To be determined 

This Contingent would embark on approximately a 12 day trip, including the 7 day Jamboree, experiencing Traditional Japanese Scouting. Interested participants should consider the different climate (humid summer) and language barriers which would be a feature of this event. This will be a very different but very interesting experince different to our Australian events. Japan have set a limit of 8000 total participants, with a further limit of 400 participants from international Contingents. As such, any Australian Contingent would be limited in numbers.

Icelandic National Jamboree

What: Icelandic National Jamboree 
Where: Hamrar Scout Centre, Akureyri, Iceland
When: Event dates – 20-26 July, 2026, Time away – To be determined
