Way Out West Moot 2027 (WOW27) is calling Rovers from across Australia, and beyond, to come and experience the beauty, adventures, and wonders of Western Australia. From 31 December 2026 to 10 January 2027, Rover Scouts will gather at Woodman Point Recreation Camp for ten unforgettable days of challenge, connection, and discovery.
Built around the theme ‘Journey Beyond’, WOW27 invites you to look outward and inward, to explore new landscapes, build new friendships, and find new sides of themselves. Kickstart the event by ringing in the new year before heading off on a four-day expedition and experience some of the breathtaking corners of Western Australia. Following your expedition, you’ll return to the core camp and be treated to four days onsite and offsite activities in and around Perth and Fremantle. Whether you’re strapping in for an adrenaline rush, lacing up your boots to hit the trail, or throwing on a bum bag to go full tourist, there’ll be something to suit every interest.
Rovers aged 18 – 25 (born between 10 January 2001 and 31 December 2008) are eligible to attend. Those 26+ can join still join in the adventure by attending as a service leader. Girl Guides and International Rovers are also eligible to attend.
Pack your sense of adventure, curiosity, and a desire to Journey Beyond. Be part of this remarkable gathering of Rover Scouts across the country to create memories, forge connections, and leave a lasting legacy in the great outdoors of Western Australia. Express your interest today!
Registrations will be open from 1 September 2025, so now’s the time to start dreaming big.
