Scouts Are More Resilient

Use our Resilience story to grow your Group

We’ve just shared the data from a study comparing our 47,000 youth members with 110,000 of their peers.

It’s a great story!

We’ve also moved fast to create materials that will help grow your Group – more youth, more parents to help, more $$$$.

Promote Your Group

Feel free to download the video, the booklet, the posters, the social media tiles, and – soon – the social media reels.

These are here and free for you to use to promote your Group.

We’ve also made the booklet and posters available to buy as hard copies through the Scout Shop.

These professionally printed items can actually be cheaper – and look much smarter – than home-printed versions.

One Group Leader shared his strategy:

  • “I’ve ordered 50 books (five sets of 10) and 20 posters (two sets of the 10 different posters).
  • “I’ve printed some stickers to put on the posters – don’t tell Marketing – with our Group name and email.
  • “I’m getting a youth member to deliver a letter to the principal of each of our feeder schools, with 2 books and a few posters.
  • “I’m asking them to put the posters up where kids and parents will see them – the library, the foyer etc.
  • “And put one book in the staff room, and one in the library.
  • “Actually, with one school I’ll get a parent to deliver the kit. Hard to say No to someone on School Council
  • “The other books will go to people like our local Councillor, local businesses who support us, the church, and other people who will help us promote Scouting.
  • “Most importantly I have a stack of booklets to share with new families who check us out. How can they NOT do Scouting when they read how awesome our kids are?
  • “We will be putting up the rest of our posters in local shops and community notice boards.
  • “Finally, I’m posting in the local community Facebook page, telling people to check out www.scout.com.au/resilience.”

The booklets and posters are being made available at cost price, with discounts for bulk orders.

One set of 10 books costs $30. Five sets (50 books) costs $90.

One set of 10 different posters costs $20. Two sets $32. Five sets (50 posters) costs $60.

(Including postage, GST etc)

For our Group Leader above (an actual Group Leader!), 50 books and 20 posters will cost $90 + $32 = $122.

One extra youth member will cover this cost. But he’s more optimistic:

“I expect our local campaign will bring at least 5 new members, plus greater local visibility, and maybe even some donations from our local businesses, and service groups who include many former Scouts.”

Order your materials from the Scout Shop today for fast delivery, and a great start to 2026.
