Scouts Australia is seeking a dedicated volunteer to take on the role of Chair, External Engagement and Funding – a position appointed for up to three years by the National Executive Committee. The Chair, External Engagement and Funding Sub-Committee plays a vital role in supporting the National Executive Committee (the board of Scouts Australia) on external affairs of the Scout Association of Australia relevant to its key functions.
As Chair, you’ll collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, the National General Manager, Chair of the NEC, finance staff, contractors, and other National Sub-Committees to help ensure sound strategic oversight and delivery of a workplan.
This is an unpaid volunteer role and the successful applicant must undertake Police and Working with Children Checks prior to appointment.
The Chair, External Engagement and Funding Sub-Committee will be responsible, and accountable, for the following functions:

After applications close, the Selection Advisory Panel will convene to review the applications and shortlist applicants for interview. All interviews will be conducted online.
The successful candidate will assume responsibility for the role from June 2026, following a transition period.
