The Lord Baden-Powell Society

The Lord Baden-Powell Society has once again supported the OneCamp 2026 – Discover in Western Australia.

Following a request from Scouts WA, the Society provided a total of $42,670 in support to help 113 youth members from every State and Territory across all sections take part in this exciting national experience.

At first, I wasn’t going to be able to go to OneCamp because of the cost of the flights but when we saw that we were able to get $400 of financial assistance from the Lord Baden-Powell Society, I was very happy that I would be able to go to OneCamp to do all the activities that they provided and to meet all the Scouts from all over Australia. It was also really cool to be able to go to Western Australia!

When we arrived at OneCamp we were all super hyped because some of us had never been to anything like it before this.

We arrived two days earlier because the flights were cheaper so we got to set up our camp and get to know where everything was before all the other Scouts arrived. The food was very good throughout the entire camp. I met lots of people from Western Australia and some from Victoria but I didn’t get to meet anyone from Queensland or the Northern Territory.

The activities were really fun and most of them I would never be able to do in South Australia, so it was really good to be given that opportunity to do activities like that.

If there was ever a second OneCamp I would definitely go so I could do the activities and meet new people all over again.
