For almost 30 years, the Scouts Australia Institute of Training (SAIT) (RTO No. 5443) has helped members gain formal recognition for the valuable skills developed through both Scouting and life experiences – at no cost to Scouts Australia members.

Many members are surprised to learn just how much of their Scouting experience can contribute towards a qualification. Through Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), SAIT can assess the knowledge and skills you have gained through your Scouting journey and other experiences. Members are encouraged to begin collecting and organising evidence as they progress through their Scouting journey, rather than waiting until they are ready to apply. 

Whether you have developed leadership, teamwork, project management, training, or outdoor activity skills, you may already have the foundation for a qualification that can support future education and career opportunities.
