National Youth Volunteer Week

10 – 16 August

Celebrating Our Young Leaders This National Volunteer Week

This National Youth Volunteer Week, we celebrate the incredible young people who make Scouts Australia such a vibrant, youth-led organisation. Every day, our young Leaders and volunteers step up to inspire, mentor and support others, making a positive difference in their Scout Groups and local communities.

At Scouts Australia, leadership isn’t just something you learn, it is something you live. From planning adventurous programs and mentoring younger members or volunteering at a weekend barbecue, our young people demonstrate the values of service, teamwork and leadership in countless ways.

Volunteering with Scouts is an opportunity to build confidence, develop Leadership skills, make lifelong friendships and create a positive impact. If you’ve been thinking about taking the next step, why not train to become a Leader within your Scout Group or develop a Special Interest Area (SIA) project that supports your local community.

Whether you are helping to run weekly Scout programs, training to become a Leader, volunteering as a youth helper at events, or giving your time behind the scenes, your passion, dedication and willingness to serve are what make Scouts Australia such a remarkable youth-led movement. Every hour you contribute helps create memorable experiences for young people and strengthens our communities.

Thank you for everything you do. Your commitment is truly appreciated, and the difference you make in the lives of young people and within your community is immeasurable.
