Scouts Australia is excited to announce the appointment of Neville Tomkins AM JP – Chair of External Engagement and Fundraising Subcommittee

Neville Tomkins AM JP

Neville brings to this important national leadership role a lifetime of dedication to Scouting and community service. With decades of experience as a volunteer Leader, mentor and advocate, he has made an extraordinary contribution to developing young people and strengthening Scouting at every level.

Throughout his Scouting journey, Neville has held numerous leadership positions across Branch, National, Asia-Pacific Region (APR) and the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). He is widely respected for his extensive experience, strategic vision and unwavering commitment to the values of Scouting. His expertise spans youth leadership, governance, organisational development and building strong partnerships across the broader community.

As Chair of the External Engagement and Fundraising Committee, Neville will lead efforts to strengthen Scouts Australia’s relationships with key stakeholders, government, businesses, charitable foundations and community partners. The committee plays a vital role in increasing awareness of the impact of Scouting, developing sustainable fundraising initiatives and creating opportunities that enable more young Australians to benefit from the Scout Program.

The National Executive Committee also extends its sincere thanks to Greg Landgren for his dedicated service as Chair of the External Engagement and Fundraising Committee. Greg generously continued in the role for a further 18 months beyond his initial term, and we are grateful for his leadership and commitment during that time.” – said Toby

Neville commenced his three-year appointment in July 2026. Scouts Australia congratulates Neville on his appointment and looks forward to the leadership, experience and vision he will bring to the role.
