Resilience Survey
Take Part in Our Resilience Survey and You Could Win a JB Hi-Fi Voucher!
Scouting and resilience go hand in hand. Previous studies* on Scouting and resilience show what we Scouts, parents and Leaders see every day as our youth members grow towards their potential. Scouts Australia is now conducting our own research on the impact of Scouting on young Australians. By doing so, youth members are not only helping Scouts, but can also go in the draw for one of three JB Hi-Fi vouchers!
A study by World Scouting* in 2018 demonstrated that amongst other qualities, Scouts demonstrated
- higher levels of resilience
- a greater sense of belonging and
- more emotional intelligence than their non-Scouting peers.
Now it’s time for us to explore the impact of Scouting on young Australians. Scouts Australia invites youth members to participate in an easy to answer online survey. The answers will help us fine tune our program to improve overall resilience in young people. The results will also help us communicate to others what we know – that Scouting develops resilience in young people everywhere.
By doing so, three youth members could win one of three JB Hi-Fi vouchers. First prize is a $250 voucher, second prize is a $150 voucher and third prize is a $100 voucher.
Cub Scouts, Scouts,Venturer Scouts and Rover Scouts are invited to participate. The survey will take around 30 minutes for a Cub Scout, and less time for older youth members to complete.

The survey is being conducted by Resilient Youth Australia, the same company that conducts resilience surveys for the education sector. Answers will be kept confidential.
Go in the Draw for a JB Hi-Fi Voucher
At the end of the survey, participants may complete an entry form for the chance to win a $250, $150 or $100 JB Hifi voucher. The entry form does not link to any answers on the survey form and members’ confidentiality will be paramount. One entry will be selected for each voucher. Winners will be notified by their Branch. Please see below for further terms of the draw.

The survey and entries to the draw will be open until the 31st of August 2019.
Draw Conditions
- The draw will be randomly selected by an online random number selector on Tuesday 3 September at 11am. Winners will be notified by their Branch.
- The draw is only open to existing youth members of Scouts Australia in the Cub Scout, Scout, Venturer Scout and Rover Scout Sections, and this will be validated before the prize is awarded.
- Only one entry to the draw is permitted per member.
- First prize is a $250 JB Hi-Fi voucher, 2nd prize is a $150 JB Hi-Fi voucher and 3rd prize is a $100 JB Hi-Fi voucher
