Through the Scouts Australia Institute of Training (RTO: 5443), 2019 was a huge year for youth and adults in achieving industry recognised qualifications.
What a year we have had assisting both youth and adults achieve vocational education and training qualifications (VET). Our 40 volunteer assessors, Branch Commissioners for VET and the SAIT Principal’s group have awarded 514 qualifications plus 815 statements of attainment as follows:
This totals 12,777 units of competency issued through recognition of prior learning and credit transfer.
These qualifications and statements of attainment are awarded at no cost to members of Scouting. However, should these have been awarded by commercial training organisations, the cost to members would be $3,420,112. That is the value that SAIT provides to Scouting and its members.
If you have completed relevant components of the youth program or adult training and development and would like to seek, through a recognition of prior learning (RPL) process, externally accredited qualifications, please go to training.scouts.com.au for further details.
